Using our mobile vehicle weighing equipment, we weigh your caravan, trailer, SUV, ute, truck, and any other wheeled vehicle at your home or business in the Wide Bay-Burnett region. We accurately determine the defined weights required by road-safety laws and insurance companies, ensuring that your vehicles are not overloaded beyond the manufacturers' specifications by mistake.
We use SA-approved mobile scales that are regularly calibrated to determine all of the following set weight definitions:
The Gross Vehicle Mass is the vehicle's tare weight with all its trimmings, spare wheel, winch and maximum payload (including passengers), as measured on all four wheels.
The Tow Bar Mass is the weight of the fully loaded trailer measured at the tow bar. It should not exceed 15% of the GTM and must be included when calculating the GVM.
The Gross Trailer Mass is the trailer's combined weight and full payload, as measured across the axles.
The Aggregate Trailer Mass is the GTM plus the TBM.
The Gross Combination Mass is the GVM plus the GTM and is a critical calculation when towing a trailer or caravan. We will assist you with this calculation using manufacturer-derived and direct measurements.
The Gross Vehicle Mass Combined is the GVM plus the TBM.
Our trailer weighing service will determine all these values for you, ensuring you remain within the manufacturers' safety specifications on your next trip.
